I saw a commercial for this at the theater. Y'all may remember how the angels were rookie cops in the original version, recruited by Charlie for his team of detectives. In the new version, they're all criminals. How times have changed...

I was less commenting upon their return and more ABC's insistence to claim the shows they air as their own immediately followed by a reminder of what network they're on. Sort of like saying the Cleveland Indians that play in Cleveland.

ABC has canceled the revamp of the 1970s TV show after just four episodes, the network confirms to TheWrap.
The series, which starred Minka Kelly, Annie Ilonzeh and Rachael Taylor as three young female detectives in Miami, had floundered in the ratings, though it posted an 8 percent increase in the all-important adults 18-49 demographic for its most recent episode, broadcast Thursday. Its premiere Sept. 22 posted a lukewarm 2.1/6 in the demo and generally went downhill from there, plunging 20 percent for its Oct. 7 episode to a 1.2/4.
ABC plans to continue running the remaining episodes on Thursdays at 8.
