Hi all.

I really like the Atomic Knights. They're peachy-keen.

Here's a thread about them. There's a great book you can get with them in it.

I recommend getting it.

Please use this thread as a place to discuss the Atomic Knights.

Thanks. :D

I don't know much about 'em. I think they were in the Simonson Hercules Unbound series, but that came out when I was seven. The only other memories I have are the entry in Who's Who, an issue of DC Comics Presents I can barely remember, and (I think) a cameo in Crisis On Infinite Earths.

Having said that, they look cool and Murphy Anderson art is awesome.

Here's the DC Comics Presents issue. I know I had it, but I can't remember anything but the cover.

I wanted the Showcase, but it was canceled, along with the Jonah Hex second showcase. Not keen enough on the concept to spring any more than Showcase Presents type of money at it.

Ah, I thought that the Showcase never got published (curse you, Wikipedia!).

The hardcover book will be mine very soon. They're completely weird and unique.

There are plenty of comics set in a post-apocalyptic world - Kamandi, Planet of the Apes, Doomsday Plus One, Mighty Samson - but this one has guys in armour riding on giant mutated Dalmations.

I cannot get past the awesomeness of that fact alone. Also, a young Frank Miller pencilled one of their adventures, so I've read. They're the gosh-darned Atomic Knights!

The good old days when we had an infinite number of futures.

When DC no longer had room for futuristic heroes clad in radiation resistant medieval armor riding giant dalmatians, they no longer had room for me.

Why isn't there a big budget movie about these guys?

Were I a multi-millionaire, I'd make sure there was....

From the looks of the Three Musketeers trailer, you may be close to getting your wish.

It'll never be as good as the version where Sting, Rod Stewart and Bryan Adams sang the theme song. Never.

I blame your poor communication skills. ;) I'm looking at the Wikipedia Atomic Knight page and it doesn't say anything about the Showcase.

I saw a commercial for that last night. They're using slow-mo wire-fu in a movie set in the 17 century! Fucking shit.
