Don't be too quick to dimiss this. Hear me out.
I love spaghetti and meatballs.
I love pizza with meatball topping.
I love meatball sandwiches.
And I love Rice Krispies. I even love them dry.
So, I know that I love meatballs, and I have some experience loving meatballs served on and in other things, and I know that I love Rice Krispies, and I can enjoy them without any milk.
I have leftover meatballs ... should I make a bowl of Rice Krispies and put the meatballs in it? The idea is intriguing to me. Should I try it?

I've eaten meatballs made with Rice Krispies and they were tasty. So meatballs in a bowl of Rice Krispies? That's yum just waiting to be had.

How about coating the meatballs with Krispies?

Rice Krispies are a gateway cereal. Next, you'll be rolling your meatballs in Cocoa Puffs.

It was not bad, but not really the revolutionary food experience I was hoping for, either. I think this might have worked better with corn flakes.

I can see Linda retiring from Librarianhood as the owner of a new fast-food franchise; "Who is she? Why, she's the cornflake-meatball Queen of Chicago".*
* Note: Linda may not actually live in the same city as Abe Froman.

I think meatballs and rice (non-krispies) would be fine.
Although I'm not eating either of these things at the moment, in general.

As good as meatballs with rice on the side is, when I was little and then not so little, my mother made Greek meatballs with rice soup every winter. So so good. http://www.mygreekdish.com/recipe/cream ... vgolemono/I never learned to make it as good as she could but this thread is making me think I'll try once again tomorrow perhaps.

You should coat the meatballs with crushed rice krispies and then deep fry them.

I sliced the meatballs in half, poured the cereal into a bowl and then put the meatballs on top with the flat sides facing down. They sat on top of the cereal kind of like banana slices do.

If I didn't know better, I'd have guessed that Linda had been drinking, because that's TOTALLY a "I'm drunk and hungry" idea.
That said, I like mixing and matching things that aren't supposed to go together. I made a burger topped with red grapes once. And yes, I was sober! It was surprisingly amazing.
Or bacon-wrapped Percoset. That's really good, too.

I'm still getting grief from my wife for putting refried beans on hot dogs.
