Not sure who Marshall and Rogers are and why they aren't included in the Adams/Aparo Batman category.

My favorite Batman is Jim Aparo's '70s and early '80s stuff, but I went with Sprang because I don't think Aparo's later work was as exciting as those brilliant early years.

I'm very fond of Miller. Wouldn't say he's the best, but a sentimental favorite. Not sure if that's enough for me to vote for him though.
I'll think this over and get back to you.

Don Newton, but Aparo is a close second.

Since Adams and Aparo were bundled together, I suspect they will win.

In comics, it would definitely be Aparo, but since you included other media as well, I went with Dini/Timm.

I guess I should have just said "Bronze Age Batman" since there really isn't enough of a difference between that early Bronze Age Batman and the later Bronze Age Batman in the Englehart/Rogers Batman (and doh! on my snafu up there).

In comics? The Zebra Batman!
In TV land? Adam West.

What's everyone's thoughts on Irv Novick's Batman? (Or his Flash, for that matter.) I kinda dug it.

The same with Bob Brown. I loved his Flash. I always preferred the lean, long distance runner Flash. Novick tended to stretch his characters out slightly, so Barry never seemed stocky or over-muscled.

Liked Irv Novick as well. The seventies was my golden era for Bat-artists.

Depended on the inker with Novick for me. He looked great with Giordano or Anderson, not so much with McGlaughlin

In order of preference, leaving out Batman in other media:
Grant Morrison Frank Miller Grant/Breyfogle Dick Sprang Kane/Finger O'Neil/Adams Infantino
Englehart/Rogers The rest of the Bronze Age Batman

The best Batman is the one in my head. And he fits in all kinds of settings, from the realm of ultra-noir thrillers to Adam West camp.He can be in cartoons as different as Batman:TAS and Batman:Brave&Bold and still be Batman. There should be another choice:"All(or most) of the above." You don't last as long as Batman has without being adaptable.

One of the two Don Newton Batman pages that I own. This is the first page of Batman that he drew for his Detective run.
