It's like asking who is your favorite child.

I feel like I really shouldn't vote until I see Following. We have it on DVD, but I still haven't taken the time to watch it. At the moment, I'd say I'm tied between Dark Knight and Inception.

I'm tied between Memento and The Dark Knight, so taking a guess at what most will vote for, I'm going to give my vote to the former.

I've never even heard of the Following - what's it about? I remember being underwhelmed by Insomnia, but the rest are great. I went with TDK because I like how Batman looks with the radar lenses on and it finally made me forget Tommy Lee Jones as a giggling "Harvey Two-Face".

I haven't seen it either but it's Nolan's independent film debut -- he made it himself for $6000 to some acclaim and put himself on the map. It's about a writer who likes to follow people around and one day, follows the wrong guy.

I gotta go Momento. It really showed some new possibilities when it comes to the use of film. It was incredibly original. The Dark Knight was amazing. But there wasn't anything groundbreaking there. Plus, a lot of its greatnest had to do with the actors. If you put different people in The Dark Knight, it becomes a different movie. Heck, that is proven just by the scenes with Maggie Gyllenhaal compared to the scenes with Katie Holmes in the first one. No matter what, they were two different characters.

1. Memento
2. The Dark Knight
3. The Prestige
4. Insomnia (I haven't seen this in awhile so I don't know if it holds up, but I liked it at the time)
5. Following
6. Inception
7. Batman Begins

The thing is I like those last two movies. They're pretty decent. Just not as good as the rest.

I have been unable to cast a vote in this poll. Like Rafael, it's not that I can't see anything wrong with any of his movies, it's just that they are so dear to me they are like children.

I can eliminate some -- it's between The Dark Knight, Memento, and The Prestige. After that, it goes Inception and Batman Begins. I thought Insomnia was just okay by Nolanian standards. Obviously, I haven't seen The Following.

I should have just posted "The Following" and made most everybody jealous.

Do I get something because I've actually seen it? :yay:

Yes, you are the coolest. But you could have ranked higher by claiming it was the best.

Move over, Rafael, for I've seen it too. And it's not the best. Would it have been cool to lie and claim it was? I. think. not. :ohno:

I like Memento best because it stays a bit more in the real world than his later films and yet is a fantastic puzzle.
