The ending of one of the best film sagas is finally upon us.

Sometimes I find it hard to believe they pulled it off.

And for good measure, the Tomatometer is being kind so far:

Just got back from seeing it.

Lots of fun - very fun to watch! I think this one is my favorite one.

Hated Part 1, I watched in on DVD a few weeks ago and was ready to shut off the damn thing, it was that boring.
Hopefully this Part 2 finishes the series on a good note. Many of the movies stand up by themselves but breaking this new one into two parts kills it for me.
Plus this latest one is only a hour and half long. Not epic length at all.

I didn't care for the Potter movies at all. I bailed after the third. I watched the entire series recently and thought they were pretty neat.

It's 130 minutes. Check your math. :)

I think Part 1 was a bit boring, and it suffered from too many characters. But it was sort of needed to really set up Part 2.

With this said, I think that Part 2 could almost stand as it's own movie. I think folks should give it a try. The most satisfying thing to me was...

Spoiler: show
After prancing around for the last 7 movies they finally get to wax Voldemort!

It's not a huge spoiler, but from a movie standpoint I think it's important, and one of the reasons why folks started to not care so much about them.

To me the later volumes of the serious were bloated and came to take themselves too seriously. After "Order of the Phoenix" I gave up watching the movies. I did read "Deathly Hallows." They made all libraries who ordered copies sign some kind of nondisclosure agreement to keep it from being spoiled!

I am glad its all coming to an end. Never loved this series (like I do others like Star Wars/ Star Trek/ or LOTRs) but can watch the first one and Phoenix. Doubt I'll see Part 2 in a theater. I can wait for the Blu-ray later this year.

It was absolutely fantastic. More than a fitting end for the series.

By far the best movie of the summer so far.

Watched parts 1 and 2 back to back. Outstanding. I really liked the Ripley moment toward the end of part 2. You know what I'm talking about.

At first I just thought it was a nice number, below other opening days, but then I realized it wasn't an opening day gross, but only from midnight showings.

An impressive number. I hope this movie shatters all the Box Office record held by the Twilight shitfests so I can regain a little hope in mankind.

Harry Potter: Enough talk!

Lord Voldemort: Yes! Let this be our final battle!
