This comic's release slipped past me in terms of posting here, but the second issue is coming out soon and if you go to the link, you'll get to see a preview. I didn't get the first issue of this, but I didn't even get any issues of the last real KISS comic title, so... http://ultimateclassicrock.com/archie-m ... e-preview/‘Archie Meets Kiss’ Issue Two – Exclusive Preview by: Matthew Wilkening
We’ve got a special early holiday present for all you Kiss and Archie Comics fans out there – an exclusive preview of the first five pages of the second issue of ‘Archie Meets Kiss,’ which won’t hit stores until Wednesday, Dec. 28 . In the second part of this four-part story, sub-titled ‘Creatures of the Night,’ a crew of uninvited monsters have invaded Riverdale, and they’re close to taking over the town! Can the mysterious members of Kiss stop them with some help from the Archie gang? What will they order at the Chok’lit Shoppe?
Kiss are, of course, no strangers to the world of comic books, having starred in their own mini-series back in their ’70′s heyday — they made the red ink with their own blood! — and an ongoing monthly book called ‘Psycho Circus’ in the late ’90s, as well as various other projects.
Even though they battled demons and monsters across time and space in those books, the brightly lit colorful suburban neighborhood where Archie, Jughead and the gang live might be their weirdest adventure yet!
This issue was written by Alex Segura, with art by Dan Parent and a variant cover by Francesco Francavilla. You can read more about the whole project over here, and start enjoying this comical adventure right now!

Intriguing that they chose the Love Gun era costumes.

I can't wait to see how they explain this story in the Official Deluxe Handbook Of The Riverdale Universe.

Good to see Archie isn't afraid to jump on a pop culture trend forty years after the fact

Archie has become "The Family Guy" of the comics industry.

I think they need to do a "Crisis On Infinite Riverdales" style event, and have some weird catastrophe take place. Either that, or do an issue where Jughead is revealed to be a drug addict, and Reggie an evil drug dealer. Or something.

The characters are analogous to those in Archie and they are quite ugly as adults. The "Jughead" character is indeed a recovered drug addict that "Archie" tempts into a relapse in order to use him as an alibi when he murders his wife. I really enjoyed this.
