In the future Archie stories Jughead married Midge and took over the Chok'lit Shop, and Betty married Archie. Since Archie has red hair, he stands in for me and gets the perfect girl, so I like that version.  But if Archie marries the shrew Veronica, then sure, Betty deserves someone good like Jug.

There is probably a story where that happened.
When I was googling Jughead/Betty shipper stuff to see what was out there, I ran into a lot of the what-ifs and shock stories Archie Comics has been publishing the last few years. Archie with Midge, Archie with Valerie, Archie versus That Wilkin Boy, Archie married, Archie divorced, Archie dead, etc.

I didn't read any Archie divorced or Archie vs That Wilkin Boy.
