My first love...the best TV programme I had ever seen - more convincing, more dramatic, more enjoyable and real than anything I had seen before...it was on a Thursday over here and I used to come home early from the pub when I was 18 to watch it. Those characters are as real to me as any in fiction.

My mom watched it. I was a bit too young to appreciate it but I liked the theme song.

It's still a great watch, but hard to believe that it was considered gritty and real. Shows how unreal television was at the time.
