"The Governator" Will Soon Have His Own Comic Book

The animated TV show and comic book will be out next year.

KTLA News

2:45 p.m. PDT, March 31, 2011

LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- Former Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has been jokingly been called the "governator" for years, but now he may soon become a real-life comic book action hero, name "The Governator."

Schwarzenegger told Entertainment Weekly Magazine that after battling deficits, natural disasters and partisanship as Governor, he is ready to take on a new challenge in the cartoon world.

"The Governator" will fight crime and natural disasters.

The animated TV show and comic book will be out next year.

I have also heard that Stan Lee is involved as well.

Okay, someone needs to pass a law to stop Stan Lee from working on these godawful projects.

I mean how many crappy comics and concepts has Stan been involved with this past decade?

Maybe the real Stan Lee died in the late 60s and was replaced by a Doombot or something.

I cannot believe the absolute crap that the co-founder of Marvel Comics puts his name on these days.

Please. Somebody. STOP. HIM.

He has sucked without Kirby and Ditko, in my opinion.

Getting involved with things like "Striparella" and "The Governator" certainly don't help Stan's legacy -- or quell the opinion that Kirby and Ditko were the real creative heavyweights.

I think it's obvious that Stan was firing on all cylinders creatively back in the 60s and he deserves his share of credit for co-creating the Marvel Universe.

Which makes his choice of projects in the last 15 years even more inexplicable.

I'm going with Doombot. It's the only explanation that makes sense. :ohyes:

Dude is old, long, long past his prime. Did anyone really expect him to create something as important to the genre as Spider-Man or the Fantastic Four in his 80s? :) To his credit he can still write a decent comic, but creation of anything truly memorable is way behind him.

Yeah, the man will be 90 next year. Cut him some slack.

I hope you're as forgiving to Rob Liefeld when he's 90.
