He's not "The" Robin, so Batman shouldn't be "The" Batman. Okay?

We should call Ross "The Ross" from now on.

Clearly that's the Martian Manhunter disguised as Batman.

I used to have this story as part of a treasury-sized Batman comic book when I was very young. It might be among the first superhero comics I've ever read...and I'd forgotten all about it until this post. Now I have to see about getting that. :)

I want a copy of Detective 329 rather than the Treasury now. Both cost more than I am willing to pay. I found the treasury on ebay for $10...plus $25 shipping!

The Batman came back because of all these immature idiots who are embarrassed they still read comics (or work in comics) and want to "mature" it up. He's Batman to me.

I was sitting on the bus the other day, reading the Son of Batman trade. A group of girls came up to me, giggling, "Uh, aren't you a little old for Batman comics?" I replied, "Sure -- if I was reading Batman comic. This is a graphic novel featuring The Batman."

Needless to say, I fucked them all in their sorority house.

It didn't, really. Just by your saying it "came back" you are accepting that's what he was called at the beginning...and more than likely why they brought it back when they returned Batman to his roots in the 70s. Was it fine for Finger/Kane etc but not for Denny O'Neil?

Damn, other than the Showcase they're all expensive. The first reprint is unfortunately in a high-demand Neal Adams Batman comic. The other is a DC Archives book. :sigh: But no, after looking closer, I have to get that treasury somewhere. I remember the cutaway of the Wayne penthouse inside too. I can't go on without possessing that book. :D
