I was wondering what people thought was the worst song ever. There are some bad ones. Personally, I can't stand that Macarana song... or whatever it's called. And if I have to listen to Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You in internet radio one more time I'm gonna barf! Though I did find the original version by Dolly Parton on a Youtube clip and I like it a lot. So...what's the worst song ever? Please discuss!

Well, I was gonna vote for 'We Built This City' ... but Gerry's entry clearly beats it. Well done, Gerry.
Although ... the theme song to Enterprise was probably the worst song of all time. I'd vote for it, but I can't remember the title.

Not surprisingly, I have a nearly unlimited tolerance for pop music silliness. But "Honey" by Bobby Goldsboro makes me want to pull my hair out.

The worst song I've ever heard, I heard on the radio exactly one time, probably about twenty years ago. I'll never forget it, however. It was by Phil Collins, and the chorus of the song went "It's no fun...being an illegal alien".  (By the way, this is my 2000th post. To commemorate this, please welcome my new avatar, Stinky the cat.)

I had forgotten, but somebody (on the ICE boards, of course) pointed out to me a couple of years ago that this was, in fact, a Genesis song. I just remember Phil Collins, who usually sings with a fake American accent, singing with a fake Hispanic accent. Maybe I will click on that video. If the song doesn't suck as much as I remember, then the worst song of all time is "Everybody have fun tonight...everybody Wang Chung tonight." P.S. to BasketballCat--Stinky is all about the kitty toys (or any inorganic object that can be turned into a toy). Yer yogurt iz sayf.
