It's about a group of Stars Wars fans who plan to rob a copy of SW Ep. I from Skywalker Ranch or something before its cinema release. Has anyone here seen it? If so, what'd you think? The reviews online are quite mixed. I could get a copy of it cheap, but I want to know if I should bother with it.

I bought some comics online and the dealer sent me a copy of this movie for free
as a bonus.

I watched it with the brothers (Brotoro and Jilerb) during Christmas.
It was a hoot, we thought,

Yes. Although I might watch it again in a few years.

Agreed

Don't expect anything great, but there are a few funny parts.

Ok, this is what I wanted to hear. I was worried it might be a dud.

I thought it was painfully unfunny.

Ok, now I'm conflicted. Whose sense of humour do I share?

It's kind of like a roadtrip comedy... think of the movie Road Trip except with cheesey geek humor.

You can watch the full film on YouTube, actually... watch this clip to see if it's what you're into.

Not hilarious from that opening clip but not terrible either. I think I'll give it a shot on DVD.

Side question: do all American house parties have flexible acoustics whereby the music automatically quietens for conversation?

Lightly amusing, but ultimately disappointing.

The recently released PAUL is a much funnier exploration of geek culture. Same road trip mechanic with a couple of geeks and a girl helping a friend, but manages the pop culture references with a whole lot more skill.

If you're an atheist, you'll love it even more. If you're a Christian, you'll question the constant attacks.

Have you seen it? Or are just going by the opinions of those whose only job in life is getting their panties in a twist?

I really found that neither here nor there. It really only attacks the most ridiculous of Creationism, with Earth only being 4000 years old and the like. And I think even most Christians find them embarrassing.
