How many established comic book superheroes had hair like Ralph Hinkley from "The Greatest American Hero?"



I can think of only one...



Initially, I thought of Mr. Immortal's hair was too, but upon reviewing it, I find it doesn't have that "perm" quality.

Yeah, Jericho's hair was one of several things that were annoying about that character. The 80's white man perm was not a good look. Ranks right up there with the mullet.

There have been periods where artists have tried to give Element Lad a perm.

I like the 80's white man perm... and the mullet looked good on Mel Gibson and Eddie Guerrero.

Darin...you're not considering getting a man perm, are you?

Please, just don't do anything rash, mate. There are counselors, people you can call...it doesn't have to be this way!

Starting at about age 11, I got regular perms from my mom. It wasn't until high school that I stopped getting them and people were very surprised that I actually had straight hair.

That right there is an origin chapter straight out of Watchmen.

Just started watching "The Greatest American Hero" with the fam. Watched episode 5 this morning. It holds up really well.

Yeah, it does. I'm enjoying it.

A couple years back I got the DVDs for the first season.
It was a lot of fun even though I remembered most of them from my youth.

I'm remembering bits and pieces, so far. I don't think I saw too much of the first season, way back when.

I hated that show. Disrespectful to the genre.

We can stream it from Netflix. I enjoyed it back in the day and am glad to hear it holds up.

Believe it or not, I had the 45 of the theme song.

Disrespectful to its musical genre as well.

Faye Grant + Connie Selleca = Hawt Sandwich.
