I'll take old school Neal Adams, but if it's modern Neal -- Aparo by a country mile.

Close, for me, if you mean while both were in their prime. Neal drew women much better, IMO, but otherwise Aparo is at least as good as early Neal, and better than the recent stuff. Not even comparable. I'll have to give Aparo the edge due to consistency.

Aparo. I can't say I've ever been a fan of Adams.

That's a good way of putting it.

And, since you asked, my opinion concurs with this fact

Aparo was certainly more prolific. And was doing work at a point when more everybody here read comics.

But it begs the question--when? Are we talking the body of work--in which case Aparo has simply done much more work--or measuring each at their peak? 'Cause I think Adams at his peak was pretty amazing. There's no single Aparo issue that begins to compare to Superman Vs. Muhammad Ali or Neal's best Batman work--on the other hand--if you're pairing books one to one--eventually you're stacking some pretty stellar Brave and the Bold issues up against Skate Man or worse--because Neal's well runs dry. Also--Aparo inked (and lettered) most of his work whereas Neal inked just a portion of his and, as far as I know, didn't letter any of it.

I voted for Neal--just stacking the best single issues against each other--but given other factors--that may not be the right choice.

Aparo penciled, lettered, and inked a complete page a day.

Least informed post in this thread. Epic cluelessness on a grand scale. If that's how you see things--you might as well be blind.

Boy, that joke just stays hilarious, no matter how many times you repeat it.

It was true when I said it.

Repeating it ad nauseum is just boorish and uncreative--but I suppose it passes for clever around these parts.

I voted for Adams. Getting to his issues of Brave and the Bold in the Showcase trade I have was a revelation.
