We gots the moon. Does look a smidgen bigger... almost looks the same but brighter and a lot more detail showing up.

I have gazed upon the Moon that is 0.000125 times closer than other perigees.

It looked like the Moon.

It was awesome last night through the scope. A bit too cloudy tonight.

Pretty clear over here. Seems very bright and maybe slightly bigger.....but I'm sure I've seen it bigger.

The Moon's orbit is elliptical, so once every orbit (roughly once a month) it passes through its closest point in its orbit (perigee) and once every orbit it passes through it farthest point (apogee). Tonight's full Moon happens to be occurring very close to perigee, so it will look a little larger than normal.

I saw it and it was beautiful. Alas (well, not really ) I was on a date and didn't have time to futz with getting my camera out and taking any photos.

A perfect opportunity wasted to get pictures of the date posing in front of the moon.

I hear the moon is made of cheese.

I won't comment in detail, but suffice to say that was the last thing on my mind at the time. But, my camera is back, and I hope to utilize it and get back into my photography thing very soon!

Perhaps there's some money to be made there.

The moon did look good as it rose over Long Island last night. It had a pink hue to it.

I was driving south-ish on I-95 from DC back to Philly, and the rising moon was gorgeous -- big and full and red. I did a Zevon howl.
