Nothing NOTHING on this series from any of you?

Am I the only one that watched it? And if so what does that say about me? That we have no cable to watch anything else?

How can I decided if it's any good unless y'all watched it?

A pirate show with Malkovich? Doing an accent? On TV? Where were you guys?

From a review of the book this is based on, The Republic of Pirates:

In the early eighteenth century, the Pirate Republic was home to some of the great pirate captains, including Blackbeard, "Black Sam" Bellamy, and Charles Vane. Along with their fellow pirates—former sailors, indentured servants, and runaway slaves—this "Flying Gang" established a crude but distinctive democracy in the Bahamas, carving out their own zone of freedom in which servants were free, blacks could be equal citizens, and leaders were chosen or deposed by a vote. They cut off trade routes, sacked slave ships, and severed Europe from its New World empires, and for a brief, glorious period the Republic was a success.

Pirates were known for their egalitarianism and democracy. :)

I never heard of it until just now. I will have to wait until it's on Netflix or Hulu (maybe it's on Hulu already).

I DVRed and watched this morning. Much better than I expected. In for at least another one or two. Reminded me of a Sherlock Moriarty rivalry set up..

I never heard of it til it was coming on. The wife had seen an ad once. That was it. Poor marketing.

I read about it a couple of months ago.
But I am overworked and have no free time to watch television. :-(
