Did anyone watch the premiere last night after Face Off?

I liked it well enough. Glad that it follows the cosplayers in their normal competitions instead of setting them up in a set contest.

I'll keep watching.

Galactus was awesome.

I saw part of it while channel surfing, but it seemed fruity as shit, so I kept flipping. I did notice some Asian chick with enormous cans, though.

Okay, her name was Yaya Han and she's the head judge or something.

Anyone who isn't a "Howling Commando" want to give their opinion?

She's featured in that video clip on Stephen's Dragon Con thread. The video pauses for a Yaya Break.

"Yaya Break" sounds euphemistic.

DVR'd.
But did they have to call it "Heroes"?
I dislike the way media cheapens that word.

Your use of the word "media" offends me. Stop it.

Only the second episode and already Pikachu Girl has shown up (as a villain).

My friend Jesse was on screen for a while when they were talking about how tough the competition is and showed some awesome cosplayers.

I'm watching this show right now and it is really a lot of fun. It's like a geek version of Project Runway.

Some of these girls are really hot and it's strange to hear them talk about how they love comics.

That costume was awesome as was Galactus. I liked the tiny Silver Surfer that he had flying with him.

I like that you have these hardcore, imposing characters that walk out on the stage and then, when the judges hand them the mike and question them, you hear their nerdy, Kermit the Frog voices. :)

It's like whenever they interviewed Mike Tyson.

The Rocketeer outfit was my favorite so far. I was surprised that the Tank Girl costume did so well. My guess is that her confidence on stage helped her out a bit. That Taffita girl from Wreck It Ralph was pretty lame.

I came home yesterday and Mrs. Strange had Syfy on—which she never watches; apparently she just didn't bother changing the channel since I'd been watching Face-Off the night before. "I've been watching Heroes of Cosplay," she said. "I didn't realize there were young, hot people at any of your cons. I thought it was all just creepy middle-aged nerds eating Cheese Doodles."

"I've been telling you for five years now that DragonCon is full of young, hot people."

"Well, now I understand why you want to keep going. You better not let any of those whores touch you."
