Found this book the other day. It's by one Doctor Metropolis. I'm assuming the Doctor has a secret identity somewhere.

It's a parody of self-help type books for superheroes. There are take offs on management/career resource books, the Myers-Briggs personality test, and the sorts of wardrobe advice and quizzes you see a lot in women's magazines. Includes advice on human and animal sidekicks, finding a secret headquarters, choosing just the right archenemy, and more! There are even tantalizing glimpses of the continuity in the Doctor's universe, where the atomic bomb business turns out to have been a cover story to conceal what the Manhattan Project was REALLY up to.

Quite funny, although it's somewhat hit-or-miss and there is stuff in there that's in poor taste. Did I mention that it's also illustrated?

There's a similar book called oddly enough, How to Be a Superhero, that's been around for a while. Probably a little more raunchy in the humor department Than the one you have. I think it was originally released in England, because it reads 'Brittish" in a few places.

Very disrespectful to the genre, yet it's hilarious.

I think I may have seen that one too at a bookstore. You're right, that one had more raunchy stuff. And I did notice some Britishisms in the text.

My auto-biography could be a self-help book titled "HOW TO BE A SUPER-DOUCHE"

I bought this a few years ago. Wasn't too impressed with it as I recall.
I more enjoyed the books on Superhero physics.

The superhero physics ones are good fun. I liked the one about supervillains the most.
