I'll go with New Frontier.
Kingdom Come has gorgeous art, and great moments, but you don't care as much for the characters, given . I do recall thinking that it would have been better if it was as long as New Frontier, and could focus on smaller characters, so you'd actually care when a bunch of them die.

NF. I'm tired of Alex Ross. And I'm tired of comics that try to be edgy by making good guys fight each other for any reason other than misunderstanding (followed by a teamup).

This is a hard choice for me. I prefer the New Frontier art. But Kingdom Come had a better story. Or a story I could get into more.
This may require some rereading of them both.

Easy choice, I hate the future tales of heroes gone wrong. New Frontier showed everything that could be cool about the DC Universe, if I had bothered to look at it while I was growing up.

Kingdom Come to me.
When they came out-Kingdom Come felt like an Epic. When you read it it was fresh, new. But a true feeling of Grandeur. To me that makes it special
When New frontier Came out (it might be the lack of marketing) but it seemed like a good throw back/elseworld tale. (In retrospect a Really good story) But I never got that feeling of awe reading it that I experienced with kingdom Come.

Didnt read NF. Kingdom COme blew me away when I read it. I thought it was super awesome. NF looks like I might like it ok, but I don't get the sense of draw dropping wow, like i did seeing KC pages before it came out. I also don;'t like how all the faces look the same in NF.

That's because you're a Marvel fanboy with no sense of DC history.
I go with New Frontier, because it's not a bunch of people brooding as the world has gone to hell, but instead a group of heroes doing something to STOP the world going to hell.

Also, I don't like when peopkle=whether JB or Cooke or whatever-repeatedly draw running poses of DC heroes with big grins on their faces like they are morons.

I have a sense of DC history! I think you need it to enjoy KC. and I enjoyed other things like JLA Year One. and I may enjoy this. It is just not a must buy for me. Besides, its not my fault DC told me "Yes, we sucked in the past, but we did this Crisis thing and we're all better now, so buy us, please buy us, we are as cool as Marvel, really!"

Hmm... a story that takes place in an alternate future or one that re-interprets the past?

I liked Kingdom Come a lot when it came out, but on rereading it I was distracted by all of the Easter Eggs in the art, and felt they ultimately did a disservice to the story. New Frontier starts slowly, but builds to an epic beginning to the DC universe, and as a Marvel fan, really showed me how amazing the DC universe could be.

Marvels was awesome.
Kingdom Come was okay. Probably better if you know your DC history like Waid.

hard choice. I'm sick of Ross and justive has really cemented that. But KC was beyond belief on many levels. New Frontier was ALSO top notch but I'll give KC the edge. Now you put Marvels against NF and I'd also vote for Ross but list ANY other Ross related project and it easily loses to NF.
