I downloaded the free Marvel and DC applications for my iphone and started browsing to see what they had to offer.

I find DC's selection to be more structured - sequential issues, etc..better than Marvel's selection IMO.

As luck would have it I was recently looking for the John Ostrander written issues of Batman (the fill in issues during Morrison's run) at a few local comic stores - no luck and the 4 part arc was never traded.

They just added them to the DC app - bought all 4 issues for $1.99 apiece - great price point (less than cover price at the LCSif i had found them) and it took about a minute to download all the issues.

Very cool and very convenient. I like how the app goes from panel to panel - very clear to read (must be better on the Ipad of course but reads well on the phone).

So they made a sale based on convenience which I think will be a big driver for current (and lapsed) comic readers.

Awesome. Check out The Night Owls when you get the chance. It's a sweet and clever Zuda comic about a scientist, a flapper and a gargoyle who solve mysteries.
