I don't know what these characters are like now, so I'm judging on the approx. 1980 versions. Strength is about equal, but Wonder Woman is faster and smarter, has extensive combat training, extra powers and an unbreakable magic lasso. Hulk wins on ability to absorb punishment, and he'd need it because I can't see him winning this one.

Much like the Superman/GL fight, I don't see a way for Wonder Woman to hurt or incapacitate the Hulk, and he could pound the crap out of her. Hulk wins.

The magic lasso of the comics compelled obedience by anyone ensnared in it, including Wonder Woman herself. Given the speed of Mercury, she should be able to ensnare the Hulk in it and compel him to surrender. She doesn't have to beat the Hulk up. (Dovetails nicely to stuff I told Hanzo in another thread.)

Hulk is raw power, but in some of his incarnations, at least, he isn't very bright. Wonder Woman is not as powerful as the Hulk, but she's still powerful, and she's smarter. I guess I gotta go with WW. Linda is right, though, that it depends on which Wonder Woman and which Hulk.
