Hadn't ever thought about how two of my favorite cartoon/comics characters both wear purple. The funny thing is, I'm told I actually DO look good in purple. But I've never especially liked it! I go in more for blue. Hence the blue bike.

According to the article, Yamaha wanted to exhibit it for publicity purposes, but decided that the red tape of licensing the Batgirl image wasn't worth the trouble. And it disappeared after that. There were claims that a Yamaha boss got it for his daughter so she could pretend to be Batgirl.

According to Wikipedia, Batman's Bat-Cycle, also a converted Yamaha, was licensed for use on tours by the outfit that customized it.
