Bannings: If you're not nice
Wizard says they're giving away a free sketch of the Wolverine #20 cover if you sign up for their mailing list:

http://www.wizarduniverse.com (click on ad at the right)

The form that pops up says:

>> WOLVERINE 20 OFFER: Sign up now for the weekly emailer and on December 1st, you will receive an email with details on how to take advantage of this special offer! <<

If anyone does this, let us know if the sketch is really FREE or there's some catch to it? Wizard is a bit "shifty", ya know.

The ad's still there ... assume that means you get the e-mail immediately upon signup ... but I'm unwilling to risk a Wizard signup myself! You wanna be the guinea pig, John?

What bothers me, is the poll on which Michael Turner cover is his #1 cover of 2004. I think ALL his covers are awful, and wonder how he got so popular.

Well, got my WizardWorld e-mail today. First off, it isn't free. It costs one cent. Also you have to buy tickets and special edition convention guides to whatever the next WizardWorld Con is. And the "sketch" is a variant sketch cover of Wolverine, not an actual sketch.

So... yes, Wizard is being shifty.

I never got the whole Turner thing either. Steroid anatomy and lame pin ups. Never got the popularity of his stuff.
