Damn. For all you folks in Southern climes complaining about how cold it is, this is the current temperature here in Winnipeg.

At least there is no wind...for now...

It's about 14 degrees Fahrenheit here in Southwest Iowa ... at least that's our anticipated high ... with strong winds. The windchill is bitterly cold.

I guess by Sunday, we'll be back in the 50-degree temps.

( I saw on the WGN news last night that Chicago got a serious helping of snow... )

Nope...we didn't get a bit. Being on the west side of the lake has advantages...the storm hit all of Northern Indiana...the west end of the storm appeared to stop right along the Illinois border...like we had some kind of force field up or something.

Michigan City, IN got hammered.
