We'll never be as good as a plumber as my dad. I asked him and he said so. So fix your own crappers at your peril!

I've been a plumber for 16 years now, so I just want to say that that is a good site, with plenty of info, but know thy limits! Sometimes paying a plumber to fix the problem in 15-30 minutes is much more efficient than taking all day with several trips to the hardware stores!
I'm always willing to help if anyone needs any advice! :)

Do you know how to install a Culligan AC-30 reverse osmosis purification system? I have to do one by myself this Friday. :(

AC-30, -31, whatever it takes. I don't know that specific brand, but they are pretty simple with push to click fittings. I don't like em much since they have a run off that has to go to a drain.

My grandpa always said to remember, shit flows downhill. I try to keep that in mind. I have his old tools, and the hardware store is down the street, but I think Don's advice is very wise.

Careful Darren, you might lose street cred if anyone finds out...

S'okay. Darren doesn't have any street cred.

The sad part is that I've worked for Culligan for over three years in bottled water delivery, but now I'm being dropped into the deep end of water softeners and filtration systems with virtually zero training. (I have, however, learned just enough to pretend that I know what I'm talking about. ;))

BTW, thank you for reminding me that I need to bring the tools to cut a hole in the drainpipe!

Big money in commercial filters and softeners... but I'm strictly residential.
And you're welcome! Glad I could help!
