this fills me with a lot of, um, something.... I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's a sense of impending doom, mixed with the skin crawling feel when you feel something that something creepy is in the room with you..
I'm sure there's a word for it.

He'll make a farce out of it. Pass.

Looking forward to it. Hopefully he'll bring out some of the satirical qualities of the strip.

I wish I cared enough to have a serious opinion about this...I laughed when I heard about it but there's no way I'd want to watch it.

But thought the Urban one was really good, and did a good job of setting up the universe for later exploration. but nope. not to be.

The Urban film was great fun, but I gave up on a sequel to that years ago.

I think the cause of my disinterest is the fact that these movies are being made by people who neither know nor care about the source material. I'd love to see a really good Strontium Dog movie...but if they can't get Judge Dredd right then there's no hope for any of the other 2000 A.D. characters (IMO).

But they have gotten Judge Dredd right. The 2012 Dredd starring Karl Urban.

Dredd was fantastic. Karl Urban is still fighting to get a sequel, but I wouldn't expect it at this point.

I think in order to capture the satirical aspects of the property, you've got to play it straight a bit. It's the over-the-top violence and justice doled out that sparks the magic about what that world would entail. Tahiki Diki will load it with gags and farce, and make it something altogether gross.

This is what I meant - the Urban one was great, IMO. I should've said that they've obviously decided to go in a different direction if they're getting this bloke to direct the new one.
