I just found out that artist Rusty Haller passed away a couple of months ago. Rusty had worked in and around comics for years, doing some work on Marvel's licensed books and kids books (stuff like Alf). He moved into the furry stuff and did the Ace and Queenie series for Radio Comix until he passed in October. I'd heard that he'd had some problems but I thought they were financial. I had no idea that his health was also an issue.
We met on the Captain Comics message board and ran into each other on some of the art sharing sites. He's the only artist that I ever paid to do a sketch. He impressed me that much. He did a great sketch of my superheroine character as a furry. Great stuff.
Sucks to lose another nice guy.
