The War Machine armor has never made sense to me. Iron Man's repulsor beams had been depicted throughout the character's history as being far and away superior to conventional military weapons. Things he could do or destroy with them he could never do or destroy with a mini-gun or a rocket launcher. So the first thing I thought to myself upon seeing the debut of the War Machine armor was, "This is a downgrade." I mean, if the idea is to have a "warthog" version of the armor (more heavily armed, but probably a little slower), then it would make sense to have more repulsors onboard... but mini-guns and rpgs? I dunno.
Armor still looks cool though, right?

The current War Machine armor isn't a downgrade, that's for sure.

I never got it either. Way too expensive for me to afford, and the neighborhood I lived in wasn't THAT dangerous!
