I buy old VHS tapes of Disney movies for 50 cents each at the thrift shops, both titles I have seen and some of the later movies that I never bothered to pay admission to see. Good cheap way to catch up. :yay:

Yeah, I'm worried I might not be able to take more than one or two of those movies a day.

No, but I saw it on the big screen in the '80s. I have seen every single Disney animated feature on the big screen from Snow White in '37 up to Robin Hood in '74. Plus many later ones, of course. Plus rarities, incl. their first color animated short, Flowers and Trees, that one I saw when I was eight or nine.

Cool. Sounds like you'll have fun. :ohyes: I've never seen Robin Hood, I don't think. I've just seen a few of the classics on tv or online. :(

I'd like to see that, actually. Was that a cartoon or live action, Tyler?

It's been both, but I'm referring specifically to the mid-90s Disney animated version. Voices of Tom Hulce, Demi Moore, Jason Alexander, among others.

It has my favorite music of any Disney film along with Beauty and the Beast.

Beauty and the Beast, great film. :ohyes: Ok. So now I'm gonna have to track down Hunchback and see it. Thanks for the tip. :-D

Just a fair warning, it's probably the least "all-ages" in approach of all the Disney animated movies. Very dark and grown-up in tone and storytelling.

Except for 3 cute sentient gargoyle characters who seem to have wandered in from a different movie (and are the film's only weak link for me), there's not much there for really young kids. No equivalent of Little Mermaid or Lion King-type singalong songs.

And even though the ending is changed from the novel, I still give Disney and the filmmakers credit for not providing a "false" happy ending, even though you might not understand what I mean until you've seen it.

Ok. I'll keep that in mind. I could do without the gargoyles. I don't care for those. In my downtown of Toronto there are old buildings with gargoyle stautues on the roofs or upper floors. I find them creepy...why would people design those?
:o

So that Batman could pose on them someday, of course.

And sorry, but you're wrong. Gargoyles are awesome :ohyes:

 LOL.

I like churches. Toronto used to be known as the city of churches. There are so many of them. The newer churches are ok, but not as impressive as the old ones with their spires and architecture that they no longer make.

:ohyes:

Don't forget how much Disney hates parents. Parents must be killed before the movie can even begin.

Amazing how format changes can convert treasured possessions into thrift store bargains.
