Fascinating footage of Eric Stoltz as Marty McFly. It really would have been a different movie had he retained the role... as he played Marty McFly more serious than Michael J Fox...
The director, whose name slips my mind, had intentionally not released this footage before in respect to Eric Stoltz. Guess things change. Fascinating to see.

'Back To The Future' co-creator reveals how Marty and Doc became friends
The co-creator of Back To The Future, Bob Gale, has finally laid to rest a question that has been raised by film fans for year: How did Doc Brown and Marty McFly become friends? During an internet discussion about the origin of the characters' friendship, the co-writer of the classic sci-fi adventure weighed in with the final word.
Posting on Mental Floss, Gale explained the backstory he and Robert Zemeckis came up with:
Quote:
For years, Marty was told that Doc Brown was dangerous, a crackpot, a lunatic. Marty snuck into Doc's lab, and was fascinated by all the cool stuff that was there. When Doc found him there, he was delighted to find that Marty thought he was cool and accepted him for what he was.
From there Gale explains that Doc gave Marty a part-time job helping out around the house, feeding Einstein and the rest, as they say, is history.
Due to the time travel aspect of the film, theories about just how the Back To The Future pair became pals have included the idea that Doc made friends with Marty knowing that he would eventually help him out in 1955.
It's safe to say, the more you go down this route of thinking the more your brain will hurt.
Last year saw the 25-year anniversary of the Steven Spielberg-produced family adventure classic. The trilogy is available to buy on Blu-ray.
What? What? So we are supposed to believe that Doc forgot all about Marty and wasn't waiting for him to appear in 1985? And he forgot he was keeping the taped up letter?
Now THAT foolishness makes my brain hurt.

No, he's saying that's how they met in the original timeline.

So has anyone else tried the Back to the Future game by Telltale Games? I tried the first chapter so far and it has a great feel to it, a lot like the movie. It makes for a fun sequel to the trilogy.

And that may be how they met in the other timeline as well, but this time around Doc Brown was waiting to meet him.

Been meaning to buy it for the iPad for quite some time! Maybe on this vacation I'm on.

I think I saw they are running a sale too. I haven't played past the first chapter since they don't support android yet. I just got a Galaxy 101 and am looking forward to Telltale's products.
