These early Clint Eastwood movies were real jaw droppers! Clint really surprised a lot of people in these movies. Which one is your favorite?
I have to go with Play Misty for Me. A real scary movie and it's also Clint's directorial debut.

I've never seen "Paint Your Wagon," but the others are good films. "Dirty Harry" was quite groundbreaking for its time and was quite obviously influenced by the Zodiac killings in the 1960s. "The Beguiled" is a spooky Gothic melodrama set in the Civil War. "Play Misty for Me" is a really good, creepy thriller about an obsessive fan. All offbeat, different portrayals for Eastwood at the time they were made, even though "Dirty Harry" became so popular that it spawned a genre.

Of those 4 it would be The Beguiled for me.
Though I think the movie that made me really sit up and enjoy Clint was High Plains Drifter. I used to love when ABC would show that movie once a year.

Just to get the attention of the weekend people about my poll.
Dirty Harry is in the lead, but Misty starting to catch up. Will Misty get in the lead?
Nice to see that The Beguiled is getting a few votes. A lot of people are not familiar with that movie.

I watched The Beguiled years back. They kept showing it on A & E. Good movie. Definitely a bit creepy.

I've only seen Dirty Harry.I've seen the endings of The Beguiled and Play Misty For Me,when I was a kid.....which kind of ruined them for me
