That battle is one of the big problems I have with the portrayal of superheroes and their powers.
Kalibak has enough power seriously hurt both Wonder Woman and Superman and the speed neccessary to land those blows-- it's not possible for Batman to catch his arm and parry it. It'd be like a normal human catching a missle and using judo to flip it over.

I'm not aware of Kalibak possessing superhuman speed. In any case, the idea of using someone's own momentum against them is partly what aikido is all about.
