Ultimates. USM is a lot of fun, but it's covering ground which has been covered better elsewhere. The Ultimates is hardly unique or devastatingly original either, of course, but it handles that sort of material better than I've seen it done anywhere else. I even prefer it to Ellis' Authority, from which it nicked many of its best ideas.

Ultimate FF is the line's fourth ongoing title. For most of its run it has been better than Ultimate X-men.

Choosing between USM and Ultimates is hard because I consider them two different things. Ultimates is a finite story with a beginning, middle and end. USM is an ongoing. Sort of look at them with a different set of standards.

I like both a lot.

I agree with this. However, with a few exceptions I tend to much prefer self-contained stories to ongoing comics. So, that's another reason Ultimates has the edge, for me.

Spidey's the only one I've stuck with since the beginning.

Ultimate Spider-Man. That's where i first saw Bendis and i thought he was to become one of my favorite writers. I wanted him on the mainstream books. I was wrong.
So wrong.

I don't think it could get any more grim and gritty!

Spidey. Hate the personalities on the Ultimates.

I gotta go with Ultimates. Spidey was good and X-Men had its moments, but Ultimates for the win.

This is exactly the opposite of what I was just going to post. Voted for Ultimate Spider-Man as I think it's pretty stellar throughout, while over time I've come to feel that The Ultimates is just the Avengers smooshed with the Authority, but not as good (though I do like Millar's take on Cap and Thor).

Ultimate Spider-Man (and the Ultimate line in general) is a mixed bag;for each thing I like, there's something I don't like.
Ultimate X-Men started out well, then became just a standard issue X-book.
Someone said The Ultimates should've been titled The Unlikables. What a bunch of pricks.Great art, though.
Ultimate FF was dull at first, then got good when Mike Carey got on.
Nice idea behind the line;take the flagship characters, update 'em,scrape off the rust, but you have to wonder why Marvel couldn't just do that with the regular titles.

Yes most of the Ultimates were not particularly likable, but that was part of their charm.

The Carey run was really good. I liked Ellis', too.
