Howdy all!

Here is a world-exclusive...well, 'net exclusive, anyway. I've already told a few folks about this...

In mid-June (exact dates to be posted later), I will be having my first art show!

It has been a few years since I've been in any art shows at all (too busy working for a living, I suppose), and this will be the first one where my work is the main attraction!

I'm inviting two others to join in on the fun (mostly to add to the overall fantasy setting - while most of my commission work and 'paid' work is comic book and superhero related, my personal stuff is mostly fantasy), but the bulk of the show will be mine.

Anyway, if folks are going to be anywhere near Winnipeg (yeah, that'll happen) in mid-June, you could do worse than check this out I'll be posting more details (when, where, that sort of thing) later, after I've finalized a few more details.

Actually, I can let you know about where (after all, that is how I know it is happening at all) - it will be happening at a theatre space above Ragpickers Antifashion Emporium, a local clothing store/costumer.

Sorry, I'm rambling a bit. I only just nailed this down a few days ago, and I'm still pretty excited about it. I'll even be trying to do a few more original pieces in the interim (most of the work will actually be on loan from private collections - I've done a lot of commission work locally for the past decade or so, and some of these pieces will be going back to 1990 or so).

Anyway, like I said, this is the first time I'm posting anything about this at all on the 'net. I'll be updating this (and adding info on it to my Deviantart account and my personal website) probably on Monday or so...

So, here is (finally) the official info on the art show.

It will be Saturday June 18 from 11-7 or so, and Sunday June 19 from 12-5 or so, upstairs at the Ragpickers' Annex at 216 McDermot in the heart of the Exchange district, Winnipeg Manitoba Canada.

Here is the first illustration I'm using to create the first advert for the show as well...

So, one month to my art show, and things are coming together quite well. I just finished more artwork, this time for a 'poster' for the show. Here is the artwork (the finished, coloured version will be done later).

Tonight is the big opening of the show!

I just came back from the venue after having put up all the work (yeesh, why do I draw so much stuff!), and have to print out a couple more posters and generally laze about until around 4 or 5.

Should be fun. There might even be some media at the opening tonight.

Well, I've only just finished bringing back all the artwork (and taking some of the works to their rightful original owners ), so I haven't completely processed everything yet.

However, thus far, I'm very pleased with the show. The turnout was nice - okay for a first-time show (my very first ever just for me), and I'm looking at joining a local gallery to perhaps be part of shows every month (or just once in a while - I'm still mulling over my options). A couple of interesting nibbles regarding upcoming work as well...

Yeah, it was pretty cool
