I'm prepared to lose big time here, since we're living through The Monk Age Of Comics, but I am very curious as to how this stuff reads to onlookers and thought I'd try to find out in a poll for once. Who won the hearts and minds of Comicland Assembled in the Quesada debate? (Lurkers especially, please chime in.)

I wasn't even debating! Saying Monk has a man crush on Joe Quesada and enormous amounts of endless love towards all things Marvel, no matter how bad they suck, it's not a debatable opinion. It's a statement of fact.

Anyway, the real winner was Joe Quesada, and in a smaller dose, Dan DiDio. That's what they want, to be talked about.

I just read through them and have to agree with Monk's assessments-- you basically attributed everything good under Q as something that was going to happen anyway and anything bad as his fault directly, and while there's a case to be made for that I'm sure, you didn't make it strongly enough to convince me personally. The bad economy is likely the biggest contributor to falling slaes and aren't sales up overall since Q took over anyway?

While I'm not a big reader of the big two, I think Q's tenure has been more success than failure given the market he's working with.
