It's like a boyfriend who beats me. And then he sends me flowers and tells me he's sorry and I forgive him and love him again. And then he beats me again. Damn it, why can't Northwestern win a bowl game?

With my Washington State Cougars, if we make it to a bowl game, we'll generally win it, unless it's the Rose Bowl. We've been there 4 times, twice in my lifetime, but it's almost 100 years since we won that one.
Our only non-Rose Bowl loss was in the 1981 Holiday Bowl.
We were 2-11 this year, but that was okay, because UW was 0-13.

I feel the same way about Paulie and his UGA Bulldogs. I try to get him to leave them, but he comes back with, "No, it was my fault, I shouldn't have made them so mad."
You can only do so much for some people.
