GHOST RIDER looks really good...

At least in this first pic released as part of the international licensing show in NY this week:

Yeah, but what's Nic look like when he's in character?

I'll be here all week. Try the veal.

Visually, Ghost Rider has always been pretty stunning. One of the few properties that could be turned into a pretty good TV series.

...stupid new version of Quicktime...

I really don't want to leave Windows 98 just to watch movie trailers :)

Saw a preview of this before X3. Looks interesting, not too excited about it. Girlfriend thought it looked cool.

Thoughts?

Well, he's hit and miss, but I don't hate the man. I think this looks interesting because of him, now that I ponder a bit more about it. I don't have any real love for the character. In fact, I'm not sure I've ever read a GR comic story.

I haven't read much Ghost Rider, but Nick Cage is a great actor and a huge Ghost Rider fan, so I think it will turn out fine.

Bit of trivia, Nick Cage in order to do Ghost Rider had to use make up to cover up his Ghost Rider tattoo, I think he's got what it takes and then some.

I still remember a time in about 1978, and I was home from school sick. My mom went to the store, and among other things brought back some comics. Home-from-school-sick comics are the BEST comics.

And she brought me Ghost Rider. I was deeply disappointed, both before and after reading it. I didn't let on, though.

Nick Cage is always interesting at least, even in bad movies,

and i like the special effects-this did get a pretty good crowd reaction when I saw X3, for what that is worth.

(even when he gets in the motorcycle accident, the crowed gasped). If it is any good,I could see this finding a decent sized audience.

Of course, it could be horrible. Are they delaying it to February from August because it sucks, or because they have faith in it and want to give time to correct the special effects.

You decide which story you believe!

I think it will be good, it is from the Daredevil movie guy, and as long as they give him control over the editing process, they should be able to avoid the tragedy that was Daredevil (the Theatrical Cut that is).

D'oh!

Am I really the only one who liked DAREDEVIL?

Feels that way sometimes.

My first thought is that your girlfriend probably likes Nic Cage better than she likes you.... :)

I liked Dardevil. but the directo's cut was much better. I also think the bar has been raised a bit since then.

I know others who liked it, and it wasn't terrible, but the Director's Cut was about 100 times better.
