Marvel sold over 50% comics sold

First time a company did that in the post Marvel bankruptcy era

No final crisis shipped that month

- over 50% (50.96) Unit Market Share - i.e. over half of every comic book and graphic novel ordered by retailers in September was a Marvel publication. DC followed of course with 28.47%.

-of the top ten, 9 were Marvel

DC scores with All Star Bats at #4

-2 Stephen King books in the top ten

So, is DC's falling market share due to Marvel selling that many more, or to DC selling that many fewer? Or a combination of the two? I've heard so many complaints about what DC has been doing in recent years that I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of their readers were burning out and leaving.

I think it's due more to DC being weak, than it is to Marvel being strong.

Though Marvel's event comics have been handled better overall than DC's in the last few years.

I see more positive buzz about Marvel. Most people seem happy with them who are reading. Many DC fans seem unhappy.

(to be fair Final Crisis didnt ship in September)
