"Thank you Lord for my work and play.

I try to be good, for I know that I should."

That's my prayer for the end of the day.

My AM Rock station used to sign off with that ditty, after they played Nights in White Satin/Late Lament and before the national anthem.

Great prayer. :ohyes:

And don't forget:

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
If I die before I wake
I pray the Lord my soul to take.

:D

Hush little baby, don't say a word
And nevermind that noise you heard
It's just the beast under your bed
In your closet, in your head

See the mothers in the park:
they're rather ugly, chiefly.
Someone must have loved them once...
but in the dark, and briefly.

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again

My first TV station would sign off with Elvis' American Trilogy followed by the national anthem.
