My dad never let me watch that show when I was a kid... and it was the only live-action superhero show on at that time.

This is another box set that will be filling my bookshelf up.

I still say Robert Culp should have won an emmy for his role of Agent Bill Maxwell.

I loved that show. Does anyone know if Ralph's last name was fixed for the dvd?
Speaking of the show, has anyone seen the awful pilot for the sequel series?

I remember being freaked out by the fact that the aliens communicated with the heroes by reanimating corpses.

I was a fragile child. Who'd have guessed I'd have grown to the same approximate size and density of the average Mack truck....

Sequel series? What was the premise? ( ...did the costume fall into another's hands? )

Wasn't that awful I thought....anyway...Ralph is seen in public rescuing someone and becomes famous...well...the fame eventually goes to his head and affects his ability to help people...so the aliens return and tell Ralph he has to give up the suit and choose someone else who is worthy to have it....he ends up picking a young lady....a social worker if I recall correctly...
They had planned to call the new series The Greatest American Heroine.

You covered everything except for how poorly the show was written and edited. I really did not enjoy it. Act III was skipped completely. It almost looked like the writers ran out of steam at Act II. I also noticed that the costume had a gloss to it.

TVshowsondvd.com announced today that hot on the heels of the February 8th Greatest American Hero: Season 1 release will be Season 2 on April 5th.

The most disappointing episode of the series was the one with an appearance by the Lone Ranger. To this day, whenever I see that episode I can't help thinking:

I think the character of Ralph is visually iconic (with his curly blond hair, red costume and flailing arms and legs when flying).
