The problem with Whedon is he creates stuff that doesn't have the obvious in. Buffy just sounds stupid and many of it's fans had to overcome this misperception. Dollhouse has a really tough concept to sell on American television with everyone being whores. Firefly was a bit too complex at the start (I think the River stuff should have been introduced around episode 6) to give the audience time to discover the series.

Plus his stuff tends to be a touch too cute with the jokes.

It is? The big Marvel news of the day seems to be this little quote from an interview that RadioBigBoy (via The Playlist) recently had with Samuel L. Jackson, better known as Nick Fury in the cinematic Marvel Universe. In the interview, Jackson states: "The Avengers should start shooting some time next year, and then some time after that there'll be a big S.H.I.E.L.D. movie. "Whoa, this brings up plenty of questions. First, does he mean a Nick Fury movie, because isn't The Avengers a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie as is? Second, if it's a spin-off, will they bring in other secondary S.H.I.E.L.D. members who aren't big superheroes to fill it up?

A SHIELD movie would be a great excuse to have a no-holds-barred blow'em-up movie filled with people in Iron Man knock-off suits and hot chicks in leather outfits. Show the producers of the GI Joe movie how it should've been done.

Fillion would be great in anything.

Every time I hear about a new comic movie being cast, Fillion's name comes up - this should make some people happy.

He'll always be Captain Hammer to me.

Fillion doesn't strike me as the Hank Pym sort of guy.
I'd want more of a geek playing him.
