There are certain things I just really like, and always have, but can never really explain or understand why. The original Nightwing and Flamebird is one of them, love the costumes, look etc. In fact, the old dark blue outfits like they had in the 70s always appealed to me, like the first Nomad's outfit. I also really dig alternate costumes of the heroes, like Superman Red, Captain Marvel Jr. and others.

I don't know why, I just do. Anyone else have weird attractions to certain things they can't explain?

In comics? I've made threads for both of these things in the past: I love comic book covers which show other comic book covers (like Marvel Collectors' Item Classics) and I love reversed-colour costumes, for example Professor Zoom. God knows why, I've just always been enamoured of those things, they've excited me ever since I first started reading as a child.

On this subject: there was a Spider-Man villain (?) years ago who wore a Spidey costume in reversed colours (blue where Spider-Man has red, red where he has blue). AnyWAN remember this character's name?

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. I have always loved them too, and not just reverse colors (though they are my favorite). I also love stuff like Cap.s US Agent outfit, Red Robin (only in Kingdom come) and Earth 2's Robin. Oh yeah,and I also love Professor Zoom too and I can get the covers within a cover thing. Speaking of covers I used to like when the heroes on the cover would warn the reader about something inside.

As for my attraction to the dark blue outfits, I can't explain it.

As for the villain, I can't remember but I would love to know.

I also dig all the other Supermen from the Weisinger era like Hyperman, Superman's big brother etc.

LOVE IT TOO! Though in my Fawcett revamp, he would look more Egyptian, like Alex Ross' version which I saw in a Wizard magazine once and have been unable to find it again.

As a kid, I had a coloring book that had a few pages that I'd colored to feature Anti-Superman and Anti-Batman.

Wow, I just read this story for the first time literally last week. I'm embarrassed to admit that I genuinely could not figure out the secret of Anti-Superman and Anti-Batman, when it should have been obvious from the first page.

Yeah that was fun stuff, though I didn't get the Green Batman outfit. It would have made more sense to have a black outfit with a grey cape.

One of my all time favorite Lost in Space episodes was when they went into the anti-matter universe and saw reversed versions of themselves (with reverse colors on the clothes too).

I like evil doppelgangers of the heroes, though INFINITY WAR may have cured me of this. Something about seeing the classic costumes tweaked is fun fun fun!

I also like most takes on the classic "four elements" - earth, air, fire, water as basis for powers.

Grr! I cannot find a picture of that reverse-costumed Spidey villain ANYWHERE!

Funnily enough, I can't find one from years ago, but I stumbled across this from the Dark Reign: Mister Negative mini from this year.

I know there's a cover where Spidey's fighting the guy in the reverse costume, while another villain looks on...but I can't find it!

Oh, and he wasn't called Mr. Negative - that was a Chinese crime lord guy who was the victim of an experiment (like the one that created Cloak & Dagger, from memory).
