Mine was "St. Lawrence Seaways", when I was about eight. Then, when I was ten, a grotesque face of a man sticking his tongue out, and another one by Robert Crumb (whom I didn't know at the time), "Keep on Truckin'", an image that was used by others, IIRC:

I don't remember my first music T-shirt.

It looked a lot like this. I got it when my brother outgrew it, and wore it so much the sleeves started to tatter. I found it in my closet in 1986 and stitched the picture and logo onto the back of my jean jacket.

Loved that shirt.

As kids we didn't really follow the national trends with T Shirts until the late 70's. I remember having more local stuff. My favorite was an Angola Prison Rodeo T-Shirt. I wore that pretty thin (and still have it somewhere).

Googa, I made a ton of spare change in Junior High drawing Robert Crumb Truckin' characters on kids' binders and notebooks. Another favorite was the M*A*S*H lady from the movie poster (which some guys wanted drawn giving the bird).

I wore this T-shirt in middle school with absolutely no shame; looking back I probably should have.

At first glance on that Max Rebo Band shirt, I thought it was a colorized depiction of the digestive system.

It pretty much amounts to the same thing. There is a butt with a pig's nose playing a recorder.

You know, I don't recall ever wearing t-shirts with logos on them when I was younger. I guess we just didn't do that around our house.

I do remember "Keep on Truckin'" and variations on it being all over the place in the 1970s. I can also remember going to a store and seeing some shirts with what appeared to be a misshapen "Starship Enterprise" on them. I remember noting how it didn't look like the one on TV. Looking back I figure they must have been some kind of unauthorized knock-offs.

My first t-shirt as a child was an Atari Space Invaders T.

Can't remember if it was Dukes of Hazard, or Magnum P.I. Those were my first 2, for sure, but I had them both around the same time.

I'm sure it was a Star Trek iron-on.

Mine was either a t-shirt that said "I'm the Fonz" with a thumbs up on the back side or a tee that had a page of a Marvel comic on it with Spider-Man and Captain America. I think those were the first. It's possible it may have been something else.

Unless you want to count the Batman costume I got from the Sears Roebuck catalog a few years prior to that.

:) Didn't wear Daisy Dukes until high school, and by then I didn't have those shirts anymore..but I DID have the halter tops that tied in a knot at my ribcage. They would've made Daisy proud.

Influenced by an ad in a comic book, I wrote the words Thor and Iron Man
and Captain America in black Magic Marker on a white t-shirt.

A hand drawn Blackhawk symbol colored by Magic Markers on a white tee shirt.
It was a black hawk's head, on a yellow field, surrounded by red circle frame about 1 inch thick.
I was ready to fight crime, alien invaders, and monsters in my neighborhood.
You all see who's still here.

Love the poster, Kurt! I bought the original Japanese poster with the same image in Tokyo for 8,000 yen, the most expensive poster I ever bought.
