I think it's probably the best one of the remaining books.

This looks like nothing more than an attempt to trick parents into letting their children read the books. I wouldn't be surprised if they removed all references to atheism, war-on-terrorism, anarchism, athleticism, vegetarianism and witticism. It's a stealth campaign and i consider this yet another salvo in the War against Christmas!
Happy Holidays!

Voyage of the Dawn Treader is up there with Caspian but I find the Silver Chair and Nephew to get a little too out there for me.

I like them all, but the one with "The Horse and His Boy" lowest on my list. Not even sure what it has to do with the rest.

I never made it past Lion, Witch & Wardrobe, so when I see this film it'll be without any preconceived notions beyond knowing about the whole Christian allegory-that-Tolkien-hated thing.

I never got past the Silver Chair. In fact I think I bogged down in the middle of it. I then skipped ahead to the Last Battle to see how it wrapped up.

The Horse and His Boy was pretty good, even excellent at times. I think it tends to throw people off because save a brief cameo near the end it doesn't have anything to do with the core cast of characters.

I like it, but when I finished it, and then finished the series final book, it didn't seem to fit. Talking horses are cool though. just ask my daughter. Make it pink and sparkly and she's in.

They delayed it to have more time. After this they want to be quicker.

Looks great! The kids and I are all looking forward to it very much.
And I think all the books were excellent, including The Horse and his Boy.

Finally got a chance to watch this now that I'm home. Great trailer. Looks like a lot of fun. I was doubtful Caspian would have narrative enough for a feature-length film, but obviously it does. Cool.

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader was always my favourite after The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Nice trailer.

Saw this tonight. Liked it very much. Better than Indy/not as much as Iron Man. Only one moment was a little far fetched for both the wife and I. (Water druid was a little overdone) But it was way more epic than I remember the book. I was curious how they would translate Reepacheep. I think they pulled it off, and I thought Trumkin was wonderful. The wife cried at the right moments so it hit the right notes.
Biggest Issue. THere was a family sitting behind us and everyword of dialogue had to be explained to the kids. "I'm with you" "That means he willing to fight with him" It gets old. They didn't pick up on the stare dirty looks/I had to ask them explicity to shut it up.

Trumpkin was great!
Overall I didn't think this lived up to Lion, but then, this has always been my least favorite book in the series. Thin plot, not much happens. Obviously the screenwriters saw this, because they added a TON to the story ... at times to its detriment. Felt a bit long.
But the action was great and the emotion was there and damn I hope it made enough money so that Dawn Treader still goes forward, because that's my favorite of the series.
