I propose that the spoilers alluded to in the thread title encompass only spoilers for shows already broadcast, and not include any spoilers for upcoming shows or etc.
The Daily Post is reporting that comments made by Executive Producer Russell T. Davies at the preview screening of Voyage of the Damned have caused quite a stir.
When asked who from history he would like to see play the Doctor, Davies reportedly jokingly answered "Hitler. He was stern and strong. He would be great."
According to the story, some guests laughed, but others were shocked by the remark.
One fan later remarked: "Hitler carried out some of the world’s worst atrocities. He ordered the killing of millions of innocent people. I don’t want my kids thinking Hitler and Doctor Who are in any way the same."
When David Tennant was then asked the same question, he reportedly declined to answer.

The Doctor seems to be all about picking up hot wimmin, these days. He really needs to get laid.
The latest special was enjoyable - not spectacular, but fun. I liked the idea that London is getting accustomed to Christmas invasions, and now plans ahead.
Hank: yes, I quite liked the new theme too.

Wait, what about the preview trailer? That just aired, right?
I figure for any "future" spoilers, it works well enough to give them their own [ Spoiler ] tag, e.g. "I was pleased to see the impending return of
I finally got to watch the Christmas episode. Too bad about Kylie. She would have been hot enough to keep the show full of viewers. Yeah, I know she has a fan following with her music career, but still...

Overall, I liked the Christmas special quite a bit. Knowing the casting for the upcoming series kind of took the wind out of Kylie's fate, though, since it was obvious from the second he asked her to join him.
I think it'll be wonderful to have an companion who's not fawning over the Doctor for once. It'll be a welcome change. Although with all the upcoming guest appearances this coming season, it'll be a very crowded Tardis for part of the season. Also, it looks more and more like Tennant will be leaving at the end of '09, probably at the last of the specials. Really, it's almost a full season anyway. Christmas special plus three more specials. all an hour or more each, that's the equivalent of 12 eps compared to the usual 16, including the 13 plus Xmas special each year. I guess Phil Collinson and Julie Gardner are both gone after the coming season. I'd wager that Tennant and RTD leave after the o9 season and we'll get a whole new crew for 2010.
Now, since the title has spoilers in it, here we go, but these have been reported elsewhere so I don't feel too bad. Leave now if you're squeamish!
Of course the Sontarans are back in a two parter. Ep four is a no Doctor ep but features Donna, Martha AND Rose all ending up together in the Tardis and it's cat fight time. It's this seasons "Doctor lite" ep. The season ending hoopla allegedly involves Davros played by Ben Kingsley. I guess the ending is big enough that Sarah, Jack and Rose all come back to help. Maybe averting the creation of the Daleks even further back in time? all this plus agatha Christy as well as the Ood. Plus, the real life daughter of Peter Davison in a very special role. Make of that what you will. she was in to audition for something else and they liked her so much that they wanted her for later in the season for a BIG part. If she's made out to be the Doctors daughter---and how appropo would THAT be....well, the possibilities for the future of the show, lengthening of the show, spin offs, are endless.

That's an iterresting idea. lot's of possabilities
Also, I never did get to see the episode with Kathrine Tate, but I would love with a passion to see a few episodes sans fawning.
In the last appearance of the Daleks, they felf rather played out. They've gone from scary and badass to weak and pathetic, and we've seen enough of them for a while. Time to leave them alone for awhile and wiat for a really good story to bring them back.
They had the yearly poll on the favorite stories, writers, monsters, villain, etc. and the Dalek story scored very low. I think they've played out as well. Collinson had said that they were going to be giving them a rest for a while, which on one hand, seems to be at odds with info about the season ender yet it also could take place before they were even created. My kids are getting sick of Daleks and it seems the fans are in general.
