In memory of that great burger thread that Saxon started long ago (and I STILL haven't gotten around to trying, and summer's almost over!)
Here's my recipe for world class burritos.
Thaw one pound of hamburger or ground turkey
Chop some onions and peppers or use frozen. Put them in a pan on the stove. Put the thawed meat in there, too. Smoosh it down and turn it up to 6. As it's going, add minced garlic, chili powder and oregano to the meat while you stir it.
When the meat is brown, pour the fat off, then put the heat on 3-4. and return the pan to the stove. Put in a can of refried beans, half a jar of salsa or picante sauce, some shredded cheese and a bit of hot sauce. Cooked rice is optional. Stir it, and then let it simmer for ten minutes.
Take it off the heat and warm up some tortillas. Spoon it on there and add some chopped tomatoes and more shredded cheese. Fold 'em up and eat hot!
Viola!
Everyone loves this recipe. Let me know if you try it out.

Sounds good!
It's more elaborate than what I do. I just chop up an onion, put it in a container with refried beans, the meat, and a can of chilies or rotel tomatoes, and smash it all together with a potato masher. Then fry it up and put it on tortillas with cheese, lettuce, etc. I put mustard on mine, which makes a certain spouse of mine upset.
I'm actually having some leftover from yesterday evening tonight.
