That's a fun picture - I love Ditko's DC characters (More than Kirby's, even)

I am really looking forward to Starman Prince Gavyn getting some exposure in the upcoming space character themed DC mini series

What comic was that ripped from, Gerry? Is there an accompanying article?

That's very cool, I didn't know Ditko had drawn a Hawk & Dove as late as that.

Linda, DC put a lot of these profile half-pages in their promotional pages for a couple of years in the late early 80's I think (Jeanette Khan's tenure) - they were a pic and a brief interview.

Thanks, Ross. Prolly wasn't reading them at the time. Gerry, could send me the full page?

Actually, I think that is the complete image - like I said they were only half a page - and it appears that Steve opted for a big pic rather than be interviewed, which doesn't really surprise.

I love Ditko's style and vision. Beautiful seeing all those creations lined up like that.

Love the art, but I bet a text piece from Ditko would've been awesomely outrageous.

It's nice to see Stalker. There was something magical about the Ditko/Wood combo that truly inspired me.
I only discovered about a year ago that DC brought him back as some type of JSA (or JLA) villain. I
should track those comics down just to see how he was handled. Loved the DC mid-70s material.

I distinctly remember that all the other profiles were wordy bios with maybe some clip art.
Ditko's was just the picture as Gerry presented.
It just added to the growing "Ditko mystique".
I was shocked to find out he wasn't a draft card burning hippie.

The mystique really did help in that day and age. Like R. Crumb. Everyone had their idea of what he looked like - and it wasn't a cross between a narc and a piano player from a brothel in 1935.

I just found a copy of Stalker #1 in my collection. It is magical!

They were each others' best inkers, IMO, apart from inking themselves.
