Hammer Studios,Britian's house of horrors.Select their finest film.
Hard to top Horror Of Dracula.Christopher Lee as the best Dracula,Peter Cushing as the best Van Helsing, and the climax may be the best of any horror film.
Another favorite is Quatermass & the Pit.Both it and 2001:A Space Odyssey involve manipulation of humanity by aliens, yet the Quatermass film came out the year before 2001 did.Stanley Kubrick, ripoff artist. As to which is the better movie,Quatermass may not have a psychedelic star gate, but 2001 doesn't have Martian locusts.Six a'one, half dozen t'other,I say.

I watched all of Hammer Horror for AMAD, and Ron has every hammer film ever on DVD.

The best are Horror of Dracula, Curse of Frankenstein, and Horror of Frankenstein.

I love Hammer Glamour Stephen Strange gave me this book at one of the IMWAN picnics in my yard.

On that level, Twins of Evil (Collinson Twins), Blood from the Mummy's Tomb (Valerie Leon), and Horror of Frankenstein (Veronica Carlson) are favorites.

I was also probably the only person, ever, who enjoyed the Lee Dracula movies set in modern times.

The only one from that list that I haven't seen is Plague of Zombies, I haven't found a DVD with that one yet...

In the comic shop yesterday, I saw a replica Mjóllnir that was a bottle opener.
That seemed pretty horrific to me.

(Because I don't drink. Otherwise I would have dropped $17 for it in an instant.)

Had to vote for Horror of Dracula.

I'm also fond of Hammer's Phantom of the Opera, despite its having almost nothing to do with the original story, or the Lon Chaney film.

And Peter Cushing as a Van Helsing who's fully a match for Dracula.

I'm not really a fan of Hammer movies. But "The Devil Rides Out" is actually quite good.
