They roasted those weenies over a fire of trash in the can. And burning a car tire or three.

The pond at our city park often looks like that. The city keeps the open side with the picnic area tolerably clean. But the banks around the rest of the pond are horrible. In places they're just lined with trash. I and a couple of other people sometimes pick up trash there on our own. To make real headway, we'd have to have a community drive of some sort. I'm trying to speak with the Chamber of Commerce about sponsoring something like that. The pond deserves better than that.
